There are thousands of lakes and rivers that dot and wind through the landscape providing a plethora of waterborne activities. Fishing holes such as Mosquito Lagoon, Lake Tohopekaliga, St. Johns River and the Harris Chain of Lakes are popular with locals and are filled with bass, red fish, catfish and more. Kayaking and canoeing are two more popular water sports in the area. Grab your gear and paddle your way down the scenic Econlockhatchee River in Seminole County or the Lower Wekiva River, which borders Volusia, and Seminole County.
