Whether you're into surfing, swimming, boating, windsurfing, fishing, parasailing or just catching a tan…the ocean front opportunities are endless.

But Central Florida is more than just golf courses and sandy beaches, everything from air boating to hot air ballooning is possible in this outdoor lovers paradise. With over 300 sun-filled days every year, Central Floridians know how to enjoy all that the area has to offer.

There are thousands of lakes and rivers that dot and wind through the landscape providing a plethora of waterborne activities. Fishing holes such as Mosquito Lagoon, Lake Tohopekaliga, St. Johns River and the Harris Chain of Lakes are popular with locals and are filled with bass, red fish, catfish and more. Local fishing guides can help make the most out of any excursion.

Kayaking and canoeing are two more popular water sports in the area. Grab your gear and paddle your way down the scenic Econlockhatchee River in Seminole County or the Lower Wekiva River, which borders Volusia, and Seminole County. Many places offer canoe and kayak rentals as well as guided tours. Jet skiing, waterskiing and wakeboarding are very popular outdoor activities as well and can be enjoyed year-round at any of the countless lakes in Central Florida.
